 industry, today announced the appointment of Ernest C. Hafersat as Vice
 President of Manufacturing.
     Mr. Hafersat brings to Vari-L more than 22 years of senior management
 level experience in high technology manufacturing, operations, engineering,
 quality control, and materials management in venues ranging from the United
 States to the Far East.

 assignment was with Read-Rite Corporation, a manufacturer of magnetic

 responsible for 4,500 labor personnel and all aspects of a manufacturing
