Video Pics(TM) Plug-In for Adobe Premiere to be Available Through the Adobe Store

Apr 19, 2001, 01:00 ET from RedHawk Vision, Inc.

COSTA MESA, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- RedHawk Vision, Inc. today
 announced that the company's Video Pics(TM) 1.1 plug-in for Adobe(R)
Premiere(R) will be available for purchase through the Adobe Store
(www.adobe.com/store/plugins/premiere/main.html) by month's end. The Video
Pics proprietary software allows professionals to extract and produce high
quality images, including photographs suitable for framing, from any video
source. "RedHawked(TM)" images are designed to save the professional time and
money, allowing existing video footage the same usefulness as 35mm images
generated during photo shoots. Video Pics generates 3+ megapixel digital
files that are compatible with image editing software, such as Adobe
Photoshop(R), and may be used to produce quality high resolution images for
print work and lower resolution images suitable for the Internet and other
electronic media. This creates the potential for video assets to be multimedia
 and multi-purpose.
According to James D. Evert, RedHawk Vision's Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, "Video Pics was initially designed as a plug-in to Premiere because
of the widespread professional use of this award-winning digital video editing
software from Adobe. The marketing tie-in of Video Pics and Premiere through
the Adobe Store is a logical extension of this design approach, and hopefully,
will prove useful to both companies."
RedHawk Vision will be promoting Video Pics at NAB2001, April 23-26, 2001,
in Las Vegas, NV, Booth #10422. NAB is the world's leading conference and
exhibition for the converging electronic media communications industries and
is produced annually in April by the National Association of Broadcasters
(www.nab.org/conventions/nab2001/). Adobe Systems, Inc. will also be at
 NAB2001, Booth #M9619.
Video Pics takes information content from multiple frames of video,
removes the unwanted noise that exists in all video, smoothes jitter into
crispness, and enhances the image color, detail and resolution. The resulting
image, while limited by the available information extractable from the
selected frames, is substantially enhanced over that which would result from a
video "frame grabber." With appropriate source video, RedHawked images can be
suitable for marketing and advertising, annual reports, corporate events,
enterprise networks, trade booths, web sites, and interactive CDs. In the
case of non-repeatable content that has been captured on video, but not
photographically, Video Pics is a means to create usable photos after the
 fact.
