    BURLINGTON, N.J., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Voice Powered Technology
International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VPTI) today reported an 89% sales
decline in the quarter ended March 31, 2001 to $20,000 from $174,000 in the
prior year period. The Company reported a loss of $99,000 as compared with a
loss of $49,000 in the quarter last year. The decline in sales is
attributable to lower sales of Voice Organizer products in both domestic and

revisions and updates to its Voice Organizer products for their continued
commercial resale. The Company announced today that it has transferred its
remaining inventory of those products and provided for the transfer of certain
rights related to the sale of those products, including rights relating to its
website, to an individual in return for consideration approximating $75,000.
