     Waste Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:   WWIN) (formerly known as Waste Industries,
 Inc.), a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced today
 the addition of William "Bill" Hanley as Vice-President - Corporate General
 Sales Manager.  Mr. Hanley will be responsible for all corporate sales and
 marketing activities.  He and his family will be relocating from Bethlehem, PA
 to Raleigh.

 provides leadership for our sales force to secure lots of customers in the
 eight southeastern states where we already service more than 360,000 customer
 locations.  His top priority will be adding customers in existing markets,

     Mr. Hanley brings with him over six years' experience as a Sales Manager,
 General Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager with Waste Management.
