Additional Business, New Customer

Apr 24, 2001, 01:00 ET from Wells-Gardner Electronics Corporation

    CHICAGO, April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Wells-Gardner
Electronics Corporation (Amex: WGA) announced today that the Company has
signed a 3 year monitor delivery contract with a world-wide major gaming
manufacturer that is expected to result in orders valued at between $35 and
$45 million, the largest such contract in the Company's history.
Anthony Spier, Wells-Gardner's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said,
"The contract is for digital monitors, which will be manufactured at Wells-
Gardner's Malaysian facility. This contract validates the Company's strategy
of investing heavily in digital technology and an Asian manufacturing
facility. This business is to a new customer, which means that it should be
additional sales for the Company. This contract will mean that Wells-Gardner
will be one of the largest global suppliers of monitors to the fast growing
gaming industry. To put this contract into perspective, it should be noted
that Wells-Gardner's revenues were $38.3 million in 1999 and $50.6 million in
 2000."
"Shipments will start in June 2001 and the Company expects to ship
approximately $5 million of monitors in this fiscal year which ends on
December 31, 2001," noted George B. Toma, Wells-Gardner's Chief Financial
Officer. "One of the reasons that Wells-Gardner received this order was the
Company's ability to be a partner with this customer, and work together on
other aspects of the gaming market including parts, service and used equipment
sales. This contract is a further example of the Company's strategy of using
its strengths in one aspect of the gaming business to leverage itself and
increase its market penetration in other segments of the gaming business.
Wells-Gardner is participating in four different segments of the world-wide
gaming business: monitor manufacturing, the distribution of Wells-Gardner's
and other manufacturer's parts, installing and servicing new gaming equipment
and refurbishing and selling used gaming equipment."
Founded in 1925, Wells-Gardner Electronics Corporation is a distributor
and ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of color video monitors, video liquid
crystal & plasma displays, coin doors, coin mechanisms and other related
distribution products for a wide variety of markets including, but not limited
to, gaming machines, coin-operated video games, leisure and fitness,
automotive, display, intranet, medical, service and video walls. In 2000, the
Company formed a joint venture to manufacture video monitors in Malaysia. In
addition, the Company acquired American Gaming & Electronics (AGE) as a wholly
owned subsidiary in January 2000. AGE sells parts and service to over 500
casinos in North America with offices in Las Vegas and Reno, NV; Egg Harbor
Township, NJ; Hollywood, FL; Palm Springs, CA and Chicago, IL. It also sells
