 Smith, 45, as director of corporate partnerships.

 and to increase Gillette premium sales to corporations.  Smith was with Parker
 Pen USA from 1990 to 1994 as national sales manager business-to-business when
 Gillette acquired the company.
     From 1989 to 1990 Smith was national sales manager for a Royal Dutch Shell
 subsidiary, International BioChemicals; prior to that he was an account
 manager for Martz Motivation Company, a leader in providing non-cash incentive
 and performance improvement programs to large corporations.  He began his
 career with a British sales promotion agency in Ireland.
     Smith graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, with a BSc in
 management studies.  He is married with three children and lives in Downers
 Grove, Illinois.
