HARRISBURG, Pa., April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- KEPRO announced today that the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) has awarded its contract to KEPRO for the expansion of the Personal Care Program that serves West Virginia's Medicaid members.
The West Virginia Personal Care Program is designed to assist eligible members perform activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living in the member's home, place of employment or community. The program expansion will include performing medical eligibility assessments for all applicants and all existing program members on an annual basis to determine eligibility and service level of Personal Care services needed.

KEPRO currently reviews all requests for Personal Care services to determine eligibility and service level, in addition to housing the Personal Care CareConnection© (electronic record) system, providing technical assistance and performing monthly reporting on the Personal Care Program. With this contract award, KEPRO will now also conduct all initial and re-evaluation assessments for the program's eligibility and service level determinations for the 8,000 West Virginia DHHR members served.
KEPRO will begin preparing for the new and re-evaluation assessments on May 1.
