Former President of The Upjohn Company Joins Reptron's Board

    TAMPA, Fla., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Reptron Electronics, Inc.
 (Nasdaq:   REPT), a leading supply chain manager to the mid-tier electronics
 sector, announced that William U. Parfet has been appointed to the Reptron
 board of directors.
     Parfet has served as Chairman and CEO of MPI Research since May 1999. MPI
 Research is a pre-clinical toxicology research laboratory based in Mattawan,
 Michigan.  Prior to joining MPI Research, Parfet was President and CEO of
 Richard-Allan Medical, Richland, Michigan.  Parfet began his career at The
 Upjohn Company and served as Vice Chairman of the Board and President from
 1991 to 1993.  He has been a member of The Upjohn Company board of directors
 since 1985.
