STUART, Fla., Jan. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Trial attorney Willie Gary along with senior associate attorney Victor Swift of the Stuart, Florida based law firm of Gary, Williams, Parenti, Watson and Gary, P.L. filed two separate multi-million dollar lawsuits on behalf of a Miami Dade County Schools female officer and female commander who have sexual harassment claims against Miami Dade County Schools Police Chief, Charles Hurley. The lawsuits were filed today in state court at the Miami Dade County Courthouse (case # 13-01659 CA23 and 13-01661 CA13). Individual complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission have also been filed.
The plaintiffs include Miami Dade County Schools police commander Deanna Fox-Williams and Miami Dade County Schools police officer Yewande Gibson. The allegations outlined in the lawsuits include Police Chief Charles Hurley making unwarranted, repeated and continuous sexual advances towards the two women. In addition, the suits contend that Hurley made requests for sexual favors and dinner dates at various restaurants.
"Our law firm takes these allegations very seriously and will prosecute the claims to fullest extent," commented Gary. "These clients are good people whose job is to protect and serve but who is protecting their rights? These are serious claims and could expose the Miami Dade Schools Police Department to millions of dollars in damages," continued Gary.
