Apr 19, 2001, 01:00 ET from WorldChain, Inc.

FREMONT, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldChain, Inc., the leader in
next-generation supply chain execution network solutions, today announced the
appointment of Dave Tompkins as its Vice President of Marketing. He joins
WorldChain from i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITWO) where he led the sales
and business development activities for i2's rapidly growing Supplier
Relationship Management and Content suites within Asia. Mr. Tompkins will
leverage his extensive sales and marketing experience in accelerating
WorldChain's already impressive position in the ground-breaking network
 execution solution space.
"I have devoted my entire career to supply chain management and WorldChain
represents the most exciting opportunity to exponentially improve how
companies source, make, move, and deliver their products across extended
operational networks," said Dave Tompkins. "With companies already committed
to optimizing their internal planning processes, achieving perfect execution
throughout increasingly outsourced supply chains is clearly the next frontier
of supply chain software solutions. WorldChain has the people, products, and
management commitment to make this happen, and I am thrilled to be a member of
 the team."
Following his graduation from West Point, Mr. Tompkins supervised the
deployment of the US military's nuclear and chemical weapons throughout
Western Europe. With the signing of the INF Treaty in 1988, he then led the
effort to responsibly recover these same weapons from the continent and into
appropriate hands. Once in the private sector, Mr. Tompkins gained
distinction within Accenture's Supply Chain Strategy practice (formerly
Andersen Consulting), serving a number of Fortune 100 companies within the
high-tech, telecommunications, and retail industry sectors. For the past four
years, Mr. Tompkins has worked in leading enterprise software companies,
serving as a Marketing VP at Manugistics and a Sales/Business Development VP
at Aspect Development and later i2.
"Much of Dave's career has been devoted to deploying supply chain best
practices on a global scale," said Dave Allen, WorldChain's CEO. "WorldChain
is very pleased to have such a seasoned executive join the team and we look
forward to Dave accelerating the Company's growth throughout North America and
 our entry into international markets."
