SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Yellow Cab SF Co-operative is testing the waters with a new promotion for the months of August and September aimed at solving a big problem facing passengers - how can I get to SFO affordably and reliably? Riders have many options to get to SFO, but many can lead to confusion and tense moments.

"When I'm headed to the airport, the last thing I want is more stress tied to my ride," said Patrick Yore when asked about the $35 flat fare from SF Yellow. "I just want a predictable price and I like to schedule my ride ahead. I've got enough to think about when I need to make a plane. Not only do I save time booking my ride with the App, I won't spend an hour online trying to nickel and dime for the best price across ten different ride options. Love it."

That is exactly what Yellow Cab SF is giving San Franciscan's for the first time in 20 years. "A flat fare of $35 to SFO from anywhere in SF for up to four passengers, we're very excited to see what people think of this offer" said Jim Gillespie, General Manager of Yellow Cab SF. "We've been listening to our customers and they are sick of all the games with up charges and surge pricing they find with other companies."

The limited time offer works like this: Schedule your ride on the YellowCabSF App or without an app at at least 30 minutes in advance and use promo code GOSFO

Besides the advantages of the low fixed price, Yellow Cab SF allows riders to book their rides up to 364 days in advance, using their industry leading App for Apple and Android devices. "You can't book ahead with Uber or Lyft, that means you have to wake up the morning of your flight and hope there's a ride available, hope they don't surge price you and hope they know how to get to the airport without GPS.

Now in its 38th year of business – Yellow Cab SF has countered the instant-ubiquity of ridesharing companies congesting San Francisco's streets with marked improvements to their service and vehicles with technology and personalized customer care.

Nearly 100 new taxis, a restructured call center with an almost disappearance of complaints won't hurt their reputation either. And with promo deals enabled by the new technology, Yellow Cab SF doesn't show any signs of shrinking from the Bay area's increasingly competitive environment.

Yellow Cab SF operates the largest fleet of Taxis in SF, more than the next four largest Taxi Companies combined. They operate a Green fleet with 99% of their Taxis Hybrid or CNG.
