COLUMBIA, Md., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- InfoVista
(Nasdaq: IVTA - Nouveau Marche: 7667) a global provider of advanced software
which monitors, analyzes and reports on the performance, availability and
quality of service of Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI), today
announced that Zama Networks Inc., a developer of Internet infrastructure and
next-generation IP backbone technologies has chosen InfoVista's Service Level
Management (SLM) solution as part of its best-of-breed enterprise management
system, which will allow Zama to visualize the performance and status of its
 production network environment.
"We decided to incorporate the InfoVista family of products into our
enterprise management system for two reasons, flexibility and openness, both
key issues for strategic capacity planning and report production to our end-
users," said Eric Keisler, vice president of operations, Zama Networks, Inc.
"The InfoVista solution will help Zama to eliminate many of the problems
start-ups experience related to "ad hoc" reporting and applications."
Zama selected InfoVista after an extensive evaluation of several products
related to network monitoring and reporting. A deciding factor was InfoVista's
superior flexibility and extensibility and open application programming
interface (API) including Perl support, which will enable Zama to gather data
from the widest range of sources in the industry. Zama was also in need of
software packages that would easily integrate with its current business
operations and InfoVista provided the lightweight solution needed for
collecting network metrics data for customer billing.
In addition, Zama designed its operations architecture with InfoVista as a
key component. The implementation of the InfoVista solution will allow Zama
to easily visualize its network metrics and tailor InfoVista's reporting
capabilities to its rapidly expanding network.
"Zama was looking for a open and flexible solution that would easily
integrate with its current architecture," said Anthony Vidal, Chief Operating
Officer, InfoVista. "We are pleased that our products were a great fit and
were chosen to be a part of Zama's enterprise management system."
