Edison Properties, Gottesman Real Estate Partners and CodeGreen Partner for LEED-EB Silver at the Hippodrome

NEW YORK, April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hippodrome, located at 1120 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY owned by Edison Properties and their partner Gottesman Real Estate Partners, has achieved LEED for Existing Buildings, Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EB:O&M) Silver certification.  Edison partnered on the LEED process with CodeGreen Solutions, a sustainability consulting firm focusing on Energy Star benchmarking, LEED certification management, energy audits, retro-commissioning, and sourcing for energy efficiency financial incentives in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington DC.

The Hippodrome earned credits for its thorough high performance green cleaning and exterior cleaning strategies, strong efforts in water efficiency management, sustainable recycling and purchasing programs, optimized energy performance, and exceeded requirements for the use of alternative transportation.
