MontaVista Software Announces Commercial Support For Clear Linux OS

STEVENSON, Wash., May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- MontaVista® Software, LLC, a leader in commercial Embedded Linux® products and services, today announced commercial support for Clear Linux OS. MontaVista brings 20 years of experience of building and maintaining Linux distributions and frozen branches in embedded industry to Clear Linux OS. The commercial offering will include long-term maintenance, CVE patches, bug fixes, service-level support, and professional services.

Clear Linux OS is a highly-optimized distribution architected to run across Intel's broad processor portfolio across various markets MontaVista has a proven track-record of building, maintaining, and supporting high-quality Carrier Grade Linux distributions, and is now extending these capabilities to Clear Linux OS. Product teams building IoT, smart edge devices, networking and cloud solutions can leverage the strengths of Clear Linux OS while working with an embedded Linux expert at MontaVista who could help maintaining their customized Clear Linux OS distribution or production branch in a more cost-efficient manner.
