Unilux Strobes Achieve Complex Artist Vision in Solo Art Show
Strobes with Smart Assist enable visual demonstration of pattern and geometry.
SADDLE BROOK, N.J., Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Unilux, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of stroboscopic inspection solutions, announces a successful collaboration with NYC artist Christine Romanell in her current solo show "Everything Is Connected."
The show is a culmination of a year of work investigating rotational symmetry. Each painting and sculpture investigates how geometry behaves when it's rotated using the golden ratio as a guide. A trio of rotating sculptures explores the effect of strobe lights to produce varying patterns, each with a designated strobe light and custom program to achieve a series of effects.
"I have been lucky to partner with the engineers at Unilux to create a custom program that creates a harmonic relationship between flash rate and the geometric form that is in motion," said Romanell. "This collaboration has allowed me to explore a realm of pattern that I had not previously considered."
Unilux will display a strobe sculpture by artist Christine Romanell at Labelexpo Americas 2018 to demonstrate how new technology for stroboscopic inspection makes it easier to confirm print quality at full production speed.
About Artist Christine Romanell:
Christine Romanell currently lives and works in the NYC area. Her artwork has been exhibited in various venues throughout the United States. She graduated with a BFA from The School of Visual Arts, (NYC), and MFA from Montclair State University, (Montclair, NJ).
