Danish locations now fully operational as Egencia, marking the transition from VIA Egencia near complete

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Feb. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Egencia®, the business travel brand of the Expedia group (NASDAQ: EXPE), today announced that its Danish operations officially changed its corporate name from VIA Egencia to Egencia. This marks an important step in the integration that began when Egencia acquired VIA Travel in 2012.

Over the past several years, all employees have been trained to use Egencia's global business travel platform. All clients are now using the new platform, where besides booking of travels they have access to their invoices, reporting and traveller tracking. The shift to the new global online platform has resulted in a 40% increase in the online adoption rate since July 2015.
