Joshua Ledet To Perform In Finland For The First Time
The star is to perform at Slush festival's Grand Opening Party
HELSINKI, Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Joshua Ledet released his debut single "Love Can Do" back in September in Finland and he is visiting the country for the first time to perform during Slush festival.
Joshua Ledet entered the hearts of people across the world in 2012 when he appeared on American Idol and three years after the show, he is now confident he has found his style and is ready to start his music career.
Joshua is performing at the Slush Grand Opening Party at Apollo Live Club on Tuesday 10th November. Joshua said: "I am so happy to be visiting and performing in Finland for the first time. I have heard so much about the country and met a lot of Finnish people so it is an honor to be asked to perform as part of the Slush Grand Opening Party."
Global design agency, Idean, which was founded in Finland, executive produced the anthem, which was performed by Joshua Ledet and they went on to land a deal with Warner Music. "Love Can Do" and the accompanying music video (available to view on YouTube) was released by Warner Indonesia in August, where it was the number one play-listed song on some of the biggest radio stations in Indonesia. The song was then released on iTunes in the U.S. and Finland in September.
Idean provided the lucky break that Joshua needed. The agency's CEO and Co-Founder, Risto Lahdesmaki, met with Joshua over a year ago and wanted to help him to get his career kick started. This coincided with Risto's decision to produce a company anthem; to tell the story of "Love Can Do" and Joshua, Idean produced a short film.
He said: "It's so hard to describe the culture of Idean, we really are like one big family. We wanted to describe the unique environment and values and we thought the best way to do that was to create a song.
"Once we found Joshua, we had to select a song that matched both Idean's needs and Joshua's voice and style. As soon as I listened to the words of the song and heard Joshua sing it, I knew it was perfect."
"Love Can Do" was written by Bernie Herms and Drew Ramsey. Herms has worked with artists such as Barbara Streisand and Josh Groban, whilst Ramsey is a Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer who has worked with many artists including John Legend.
The official music video for "Love Can Do" was directed by Idean's Los Angeles Head of Studio, Andreas Neumann, who also leads the firm's content production arm.
The sweeping imagery, which was shot on location in the desert of "Joshua Tree" California, was filmed using multiple drones and the latest 4K high tech camera technologies.
