ONE IN THREE WOMEN WILL FACE ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION: LANCOME IS OPENING A NEW CONVERSATION WITH "I'M FINE"
In partnership with ADAA, "I'M FINE" encourages women to check in on their mental well-being and recognize early signs of anxiety and depression.
PARIS, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "How are you?" is a familiar question. For many women, "I'm fine" is the automatic answer—even when it doesn't reflect how they truly feel.

Lancôme's 2026 Ipsos study shows that 80% of women have said "I'm fine" when they were not, and 72% regret hiding how they really felt. Around one in three women will experience anxiety or depression in her lifetime, twice as many as men.
Today, Lancôme launches I'M FINE with ADAA and local nonprofits. The global initiative supports women to recognize early signs and, if needed, find reliable resources and support. It brings Lancôme's vision of optimism to life by encouraging women to express how they feel and reminding them that support is available. Sometimes, saying "I'm not fine" can be a meaningful first step.
"Beauty is deeply linked to how we feel, how we connect, and how we lift each other up," said Vania Lacascade, Lancôme Global President. "We can use our reach to make the conversation more visible, encourage an earlier check-in, connect women with reliable resources and support expert organizations."
I'M FINE has two actions:
- Awareness: Lancôme ambassadors Demi Moore, Christy Turlington, Zoe Saldaña and Vanessa Kirby share personal stories to help break stigma surrounding women's mental health.
- Prevention: IMFINE.COM offers clinically validated self-assessment tools—the PHQ-8 for depression and GAD-7 for anxiety—alongside evidence-based resources tailored to people's results. The tools are not diagnostic; they offer a first point of reference and may help women understand when something deserves more attention.
"Prevention is power. Early detection is critical," said Dr. Helen Blair Simpson, Columbia University Irving Medical Center professor of psychiatry and ADAA Ambassador for Women's Mental Health. "These tools can help women understand what they are feeling and take action early."
Launching in October 2026 for World Mental Health Day, I'M FINE will begin in the US, Mexico and Europe. Expansion to North Asia, Canada, Germany, the UAE and Australia is planned for March 2027. Lancôme aims to build a lasting initiative, measuring impact through completed self-assessments, access to resources, and support and funding for nonprofit partners in women's mental health and research.
