New EonStor GS Family Mentioned for Its Powerful Cloud Gateway and Tiering Features
TAIPEI, Taiwan, Nov. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Infortrend® Technology, Inc. (TWSE: 2495) today announced it has been named in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for General-Purpose Disk Arrays report. The new EonStor GS family launched this year is particularly recognized and mentioned for its superior native cloud gateway and tiering features.
Gartner recognizes Infortrend's recently launched EonStor GS family, a unified storage platform that offers direct integration with public cloud providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud platform as well as China's Alibaba Cloud, for its native cloud gateway features that can leverage cloud storage as a storage tier or for backup, enabling organizations to tap into the flexibility of cloud storage.
As for the tiering function, the EonStor GS family offers four different levels of implementations depending on disk type and flexible allocation of computing resources based on application criticality. That is, companies can have better performance for mission critical applications and save on resources for less critical tasks.
