The new offering connects every finance request directly to the financial data behind it, using AI to draft evidence-based responses grounded in a company's own invoices, contracts, and vendor records

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Datarails, the AI-native financial operating system for the CFO's Office, today launched Datarails Desk, a ticketing system purpose-built for finance teams that connects every incoming request directly to the financial data needed to resolve it. Unlike generic ticketing platforms, Desk runs on FinanceOS, Datarails' governed data layer, so the invoices, payments, contracts, and vendor or customer records behind a request are pulled into the ticket automatically — giving Desk's embedded AI agent the context to draft data-backed responses for a human to review and send.

The launch follows the company's recent $70 million Series C round and a string of new offerings extending FinanceOS across the CFO's Office, including Spend Control in February of this year, and the AI Transformation Package in August, which embeds Forward Deployed Financial Engineers inside customer finance teams. Desk extends that same principle – that AI is only as good as the financial data behind it – to the day-to-day flow of vendor, customer, and employee requests that finance teams field constantly and, until now, have had almost no dedicated system to manage.

The problem: finance requests are scattered everywhere but tracked nowhere

Invoice questions, payment status checks, reimbursement submissions, budget approvals, tax form requests, vendor onboarding – finance and accounting teams field a constant stream of these requests, typically scattered across emails, Slack, Teams, and spreadsheets, with no central tracking, no audit trail, and no visibility for leadership into team workload or response times.

Generic ticketing tools like Zendesk or ServiceNow can organize requests, but they were built around support escalation, not the single-owner, start-to-finish resolution model finance actually works in. Moreover, none of them connect to the ERP, CRM, HRIS data, or banks needed to actually answer the question.

"Finance teams lose hours every week hunting for invoices, contracts, payment records and lots of other things buried in other systems, simply so they can answer basic questions that should take two minutes," said Didi Gurfinkel, Co-founder and CEO of Datarails. "We didn't want to build another queue that tracks a request and calls it solved. Desk is built on the idea that a finance ticket isn't resolved until it's grounded in the actual financial record behind it, which is exactly what FinanceOS makes possible."

What Desk does

Where general-purpose ticketing systems are designed around escalation – moving a request up through tiers of support – Desk is built around how finance actually resolves requests: a single owner sees a request through from intake to close. This, combined with direct financial-system connectivity, is what allows Desk's AI agent to draft grounded, auditable responses that a generic ticketing tool's AI cannot.

Desk centralizes finance requests from email, Slack, Teams, and other channels into a single structured queue, then uses its FinanceOS connection to bring the relevant financial context into every ticket automatically. Core capabilities include:

  • Direct connectivity to ERPs, HRIS, CRMs, and other financial systems through FinanceOS, so relevant invoices, payments, and vendor or customer records are pulled into the workflow without manual searching
  • AI-drafted, data-backed responses — Desk's embedded AI agent identifies the records behind each request, pulls supporting files, and drafts an evidence-based reply for review before it's sent
  • Automated routing and SLAs, with tickets assigned by team, request type, or priority, and configurable timers built around how each finance team operates
  • Team-based permissions and a SOX-grade audit trail, keeping sensitive data isolated across AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, and Legal, with every action tracked
  • Per-team dashboards giving each team, and finance leadership, a real-time view of open tickets, response times, bottlenecks, and workload across the organization

"You can bolt an AI chatbot onto any ticketing system, but if it isn't grounded in the company's own invoices, contracts, and vendor records, it's just guessing in a more confident tone," Gurfinkel said. "Desk's AI works from the same governed financial data every other Datarails product runs on, so the response it drafts is one your team can actually stand behind."
