Doug Brown, global nutrition industry veteran, appointed as new CEO Amai Proteins

Amai Proteins, an Israeli food-tech startup, has appointed Doug Brown as their new CEO, effective September 1^st, 2026.

Amai's lead product, sweelin® is a next-generation sweet protein that enables significant sugar reduction and replaces conventional sweeteners with a protein-based alternative, designed to deliver superior clean taste, competitive cost, and improved formulation performance.

Doug Brown is a US national and brings decades of business development and leadership experience in the food, beverage and dietary supplement segments.

Doug has worked in scale-ups as well as in multinational companies while being based in the US and in Europe. His career covers roles in food and beverage and dietary supplements, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Global Account Management for Sirio Pharma and Best Formulations. He previously served as CCO for Clasado Biosciences (UK), and Head of Business Development for Nutritional Lipids at DSM Nutritional Products, in Switzerland.
