U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee praised the initiative, calling it a "blessed and important award a vital tribute to Israel's allies among the next generation"

JERUSALEM, Sept. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Mike Evans, Founder of the Friends of Zion Heritage Center, a number one best-selling author, and a Nobel Peace Prize nominee for a lifetime of combating antisemitism, announced today at the Friends of Zion Heritage Center the creation of the Charlie Kirk Award, an annual recognition that will be presented to a young man or woman who exemplifies the values that Charlie Kirk lived by: moral clarity, courage, and unwavering support for Judeo-Christian principles, especially the State of Israel.

The inaugural award will be presented this December in Jerusalem, during a historic gathering hosted by Dr. Evans, bringing together 1,000 pastors who stand with Israel.

"Charlie Kirk's battle is Israel's battle," Dr. Evans said. "He stood against godless humanism, an ideology that excuses terrorism and teaches that no terrorist is truly a terrorist, but merely a freedom fighter in need of education and understanding. This is not only wrong, it is dangerous. October 7 did not begin on October 7. It began decades earlier in classrooms, on social media, and in the mainstream media. It was a battle for the mind and that is the battle Charlie Kirk fought, with moral courage and with nonviolent strength, like Martin Luther King Jr., asking hard questions and exposing falsehoods."

Dr. Evans emphasized, that while this ideological struggle has been neglected in Israel, it must now be confronted head-on. "We cannot allow lies and hatred to fester—whether it is in Gaza, where children are taught that Jews have horns and tails, or in global forums where antisemitism is normalized. In America, you cannot use racial slurs against the African-American community, and rightly so. But today it is still acceptable in many circles to use the J-word or to attack Zionism. This must end."

He added: "Charlie Kirk represents the very best of America's values and Israel's values. With this award, we will honor young people who embody his spirit—who have the courage to stand against hate, to speak truth boldly, and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel."

Dr. Evans also called on the public to share their thoughts on who should be the first recipient of this new and meaningful honor. "I invite friends of Israel around the world to suggest remarkable young leaders who represent these values. Together, let us shine a light on those who carry forward Charlie's mission."

Mike Huckabee, the United States Ambassador to Israel, speaking at the Friends of Zion Heritage Center, praised the creation of the award.

"From my many years of knowing Charlie Kirk personally, I have deep admiration for his work on behalf of Israel and for the profound love he had for the Jewish state. I am grateful to Dr. Mike Evans and the Friends of Zion for this blessed and important initiative and I look forward with anticipation to seeing who will be chosen as the first recipient of this award," Ambassador Huckabee said.

The Charlie Kirk Award will be presented annually at the Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem, recognizing the next generation of leaders who stand for truth, justice, and the eternal bond between America and Israel.

The Friends of Zion Heritage center was established in 2015, in the center of Israel's capital Jerusalem, by founder Dr. Mike Evans, a number one best-selling author, and a Nobel Peace Prize nominee for a lifetime of combating antisemitism. Dr. Evans received this week a special award for volunteer heroism and bravery. Evans is Israel's greatest bridge-builder among evangelicals globally whose diplomatic achievements for the state of Israel are legendary.

The Friends of Zion Heritage center is a Zionist platform dedicated to the fight against anti-Semitism and BDS, and concerns itself with bolstering awareness for the historical support of the Christian friends of Israel. Their advanced Media Center holds dozens of events, activities, and press conferences in line with the FOZ museum's vision
