Major CSP in India Chooses Atrinet for Multi-domain Automated Discovery and Sync System

HOD HASHARON, Israel, March 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Atrinet, a leading provider of network management solutions, announced that its NetACE, unique model-driven, DevOps-enabled, network discovery and automation framework has been chosen by a Tier 1 CSP in India to automate an outdated manually updated resource management inventory system.

The CSP was looking to modernize their operations by selecting an events-driven discovery platform, able to listen to network activity and then sync devices automatically, exporting up-to-date network/service data to the resource management inventory system via a sync engine.

With their current RM system, the CSP must populate the network device data by a time-consuming, inefficient process. Network changes, for example, are not reflected in real-time. This leads to stranded assets, with the average data accuracy of the CSP's RM system around 50%-60%. As such the operations team found itself flying blind, at a loss to know what exactly they had in their network.

The Atrinet platform pro-actively discovers and reports detailed and 100% accurate information about all physical network resources (for example chassis, slots, shelves, and ports), as well as all logical network resources (for example VLANs, RT/DTs, VRF/VSIs). For maximum flexibility, various discovery scenarios may be employed, including bulk discovery, events-driven and on-demand.

Atrinet's NetACE solution is OSS/inventory agnostic and easily integrates to any existing inventory system and data model. The inventory data is exposed on-demand to 3rd party inventory systems, portals and service assurance tools via NetACE's open northbound APIs.
