De Agili-C™ is een nieuw, celvrij implantaat, samengesteld uit aragoniet organisch materiaal, voor gebruik bij kraakbeen- en osteochondrale aandoeningen in zowel traumatische als osteoartritische gewrichten. Het centrale IDE-onderzoek van CartiHeal wordt op dit moment uitgevoerd in de VS, de EU en in Israël. Het doel van het onderzoek is het aantonen van de superioriteit van het Agili-C™-implantaat ten opzichte van de chirurgische zorgstandaard (microfractuur en wondzorg) bij de behandeling van kraakbeen- of osteochondrale defecten, zowel voor artritische knieën als voor knieën zonder degeneratieve veranderingen.
