Aster DM Healthcare Announces Jury for Aster Media Awards to Recognize Excellence in Journalism That Drives Social Impact

Aster DM Healthcare, one of Asia's leading healthcare service provider, announced the institution of Aster Media Awards (AMA) - the region's first-ever awards platform to recognize journalism that drives social impact. The jury constituted for the national (India), regional (Kerala) and international (GCC) awards includes the following eminent members:

1. Shri. Venu Rajamony, IFS, Diplomat and Press Secretary to the Hon. President of India

2. Ms. Shahnaz Pakravan, Journalist with exposure in Middle East and western media - BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazira, Channel 33 and Arab Publications etc.

3. Mr. Rajrishi Singhal, Indian journalist and senior fellow in geo-economics studies with Gateway House

For the 2016 edition of the awards, journalists can submit their stories through a very user-friendly website http://www.astermediaawards.com/. The user interface and navigation is very simple and all the story links can easily be embedded - be it print, digital or electronic. Applications for the Aster Media Awards will be accepted until 15^th March 2016 as per the announcement made on 08^th February 2016 at Press Club of India, New Delhi. The Aster Media Awards comprises of three categories of awards in social impact journalism:

• International (GCC) with an amount of AED. 25,000
• National (India) with an amount of INR. 10 Lakh
• Regional (Kerala) with an amount of INR. 5 Lakh

The year 2016 award functions shall be held in three cities comprising of Delhi, Kochi and Dubai, for national - (India), regional - (Kerala) and international - (Middle East) editions respectively.
