Led by MP Vinod Sonkar, the Kaushambi Festival is being organized by the Kaushambi Development Council in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh and promoted by ABC World Media. The five-day festival will be initiated on April 1st and with its grand and colourful inauguration on April 4th, the festival will be concluded on 5th April. Various cultural events, competitions and marathons will be organized in the festival. This year, the Poet Convention by famous poets of the country and a Music evening is also organized by the eminent singers of Bollywood. Detailed information on the program will be given on Wednesday through a press conference in Kaushambi.

The promotions of the Kaushambi Festival started on Sunday by the MP Vinod Sonkar ji, waved off the flag to the team of bikers who came for the campaign. These These bikers will go around the Kausambi district villages and invite people to join the festival in masses, including the MLAs in Lucknow and the Ministers and MPs of the country. Addressing the media on this occasion, the MP said that the Kaushambi Festival is being organized to bring Kaushambi's culture, civilization and historical heritage at the world's zenith. He asserted that the festival, which started in 2017 as a celebration of formation of Kaushambi as a district, is once again ready to be dispersed into vibrant colours.
Kaushambi Festival will be held on April 4 and 5 this year in the presence of followeres of Buddhism, Jainism and of the Hindu religion and political veterans in Diet Ground, Manzhanpur. Through the various colourful cultural programs, the glorious heritage of the district will be cascaded at the festival. MP Vinod Sonkar told that irrespective of any religion, the city Kaushambi holds an important place for all. The city marks the presence of the famous Shaktipeeth Dham of Mother Sheetla Devi, one of the 51 Siddha Peeths of Hindus and also the birth place of Lord Padamaprabhu, the sixth tirthankara of Jainism. It is also famous as Lord Buddha resided here for four months every year in the monsoons. The Kaushambi Festival is an effort to spread the glorious history of the celebrated city to the masses and to promote Kaushambi in the field of tourism.
The 5-day Kaushambi festival will be held in Diet ground situated in Manzanpur from April 1st-5th.
The Mehendi contest will be held on April 1st at Kanha Guest House, Manzhanpur. Teachers of primary/secondary/graduate/post graduate, Asha Bahu, Anganwadi workers participate in this event. Besides them, all other applicants will not be entertained. The aspirants shall submit their applications to the concerned officer latest by 20th March, 2018.
The Kausambi racing comptetition will be held on 1st April at District stadium, Kaushambi. Wherein, 100m race for students of classes 6-8, 200m race for students of classes 9-12 and again 200m race for graduate and post graduate students will be organized under first, second and third classes, respectively. The races under each class would be organized for boys and girls separately. Only the first three winners of the intra-school racing comptetition from each institution will participate in the Kaushambi race event and their names shall be submitted to the district School Inspector latest by March 20th.
On 5th April at 9 AM in the morning, the marathon will be organized on the Diet grounds. Aspirants from any province can participate in this competition. To join the marathon, the participants shall apply to the District Sports Office; the last date for application being March 25th.
This year, with the initiative of MP Vinod Sonkar, BJP, the Kaushambhi Mahotsav is being managed from Delhi, which is being promoted by ABC World Media team.
