Chitkara University in Association With KONE India Announces Diploma Program in Vertical Transportation

 ~ Industry first initiative to offer Diploma Program in Vertical Transportation ~ 

Chitkara University and KONE India, a leading Elevator & Escalator company have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer a full time diploma program in Vertical Transportation. Chitkara University and KONE India will leverage their academic and industry experience to undertake Curriculum Development & Talent Management in Mechanical Engineering requisite to the Vertical Transportation Industry.

The MoU has been signed by Mr. Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE India and Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University in the presence of officials from the University & KONE India. The program is a 3-year full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Vertical Transportation. Students joining the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering after class 10th can now opt for this specialization. It is for the first time that such a unique program has been offered to students in this region. The program has been launched to create specialists in this fast growing sector.
