Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited's (BSE Code: 533309|NSE Symbol:DALMIABHA) Dalmiapuram plant has received the National Award from the National Council for Cement and Building Materials for best Environment Excellence in Indian Cement Industry for the year 2014-15 and second Best Environment Excellence in Indian Cement Industry for the year 2013-14. In addition to this, a research paper presented on Research and Development activities also received an award for Best Research Paper.

The National Council for Cement and Building Materials (http://www.ncbindia.com/) is an apex body dedicated to continuous research, technology development and transfer, education and industrial services for cement and building material industries. The plant was assessed on various parameters such as the consumption of higher percentage of alternate fuels and raw materials, substantial reduction of water consumption, minimizing carbon emissions, green belt development, rain water harvesting, waste water recycling and zero liquid discharge.
