Kerala Tourism Conducts Mobile App Idea Competition

Calling all App-licants. Participate in a unique competition and turn your ideas into reality.

Contestants are invited to brainstorm and submit creative, original ideas that promote Kerala tourism making sure that the idea is one that can be developed into a mobile application. Contestants do not have to be responsible for both the idea and its creation into an app. You merely have to come up with the concept, and if your idea wins the first prize you take home 1 lakh rupees. There are 2 second prizes of Rs.50,000 each, and laptops and mobile phones are on offer for additional winning entries as well.

Submit your idea (not exceeding one page) in a detailed concept note, making sure that the design benefits potential travelers to Kerala and enhances Kerala Tourism's marketing efforts. Then enter this brilliant idea for an opportunity to win incredible prizes.

The contest is open to individuals over the age of 18 and to groups or associations who can also submit a group design as an entry. Submissions are accepted from any part of the world. But put on your thinking caps and submit as quickly as possible for the contest deadline of March 18 is around the corner. Please note that the entries must be in English. In addition, the concept note should contain the idea in one sentence as a heading, with a description that follows in about 200 words. The complete written design should not exceed 300 words. Make sure that your submission does not contain any idea, content, element, or material that violates a third party's publicity, privacy or intellectual property rights.

So now you have it. There is no entry fee and amazing prizes are on offer. Kerala Tourism reserves the right to decide which entries it chooses to publish and may in fact publish winning ideas on its website before or after the last date of the competition.
