Unique Live Hair Transplant Surgery Using Scalp, Beard and Body Hair

The new state-of-the-art operation theatre of Hairline International Hair and Skin Clinic's Whitefield centre will be a witness to a unique live hair transplant of 14,000 single hair follicles in one session for the first time in India.

The procedure which will be aired live through a webinar on November 20th 2014 from 11:30 am onwards will also be conducted in a unique way by making use of patient's own hair from his scalp, beard and body.

Students of dermatology, other medical students and doctors interested in witnessing such a procedure can just log in from any part of the world to see the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) procedure. The hair transplant is being performed by Dr. Dinesh G Gowda, Senior Dermatosurgeon at Hairline International, and will be conducted for around 12 to 14 hours.

"The number of hair follicles usually transplanted in a single FUE session is around 6,000 follicles. Around 6 months back, we had performed a live hair transplant session through a webinar with 12,000 hair follicles.
