Louis Berger selected to support the development of Smart Industrial Port City at Kandla
GURGAON, India and MORRISTOWN, New Jersey, Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis Berger has been awarded a ₹7.90 crore ($1.22 million USD) contract by Kandla Port Trust to provide engineering and design services on a fast-track schedule for the infrastructure development of two large greenfield areas in the Smart Industrial Port City at Kandla. The program will implement world-class standards to achieve the vision of Kandla Port Trust in developing a Smart Industrial Port City as part of India's growing Smart Cities program.

Louis Berger will conceptualize and provide detailed designs for smart infrastructure for transportation, potable water, sewerage, solid waste, energy, telecommunications and ICT networks. The multidisciplinary team of experts will propose and use best practices to develop and implement sustainable solutions that create a benchmark for other port cities in India, showcasing green and clean urban development supported by the latest smart technology.
