OIS AeroSpace announces the availability of its SkyArrow iOBSERVER, its affordable fixed wing, manned aerial surveillance platform at the Farnborough International AirShow 2014. iOBSERVER is a specialized range of configurations for Surveillance, based on the AkyArrow aimed at meeting the increasingly complex requirements of the Homeland Security segment. This platform has been developed by OIS AeroSpace which is the OEM in India for the SkyArrow platform and other aviation products.

The VLA ( Very Light Aircraft) 'iOBSERVER' provides an affordable solution for Surveillance for Homeland Security applications. It encompasses a range of solutions which are based on leading custom and industry surveillance sensors and advanced communications with surveillance ranges beginning at 100 kilometers. The payloads configurations allow for a variety of missions including - Reconnaissance Missions ; Ground Surveillance, Maritime Patrol, Civil Protection , Disaster and Relief Assessment and more.
The iOBSERVER has lower life cycle costs than other manned surveillance platforms, especially as it begins with a low cost platform that does not require aviation fuel. With the increased cost of aviation fuel, this platform offers a direct cost advantage as it runs on high octane automotive unleaded fuel which is less expensive. This cost benefit is augmented by the platform's low and easy maintenance .
As an important supplement to homeland security efforts, this solution is also suited for local State level law enforcement, anti-infiltration missions, including railway line and oil pipeline monitoring and security. A variety of payload and communication options permit local law enforcement, homeland security and other governmental authorities to have access to a manned surveillance solution which meets their requirements.
