The theme for this year's tournament was 'Breathe Golf. Breathe Newgen', signifying Newgen's vision of inculcating key golfing disciplines such as power, precision and focus into its products and services. The sporting extravaganza proved to be a remarkable event with over 100 golfers battling it out to lift the coveted trophy.

Participants at the tournament included industry leaders and dignitaries from varied backgrounds, enterprises and institutions, including Delhi Development Authority, Government of India, Engineers India Limited, IndusInd Bank, Customs and Central Excise, Business World, Ministry of Finance, South African High Commission, Justice Department, Ministry of Railway, Tata Services Limited, Jaypee Group, Genpact, Accenture, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric, Citibank and Food Corporation of India. They came together to compete for honors in the Stableford format scored of the Double Peoria Handicaps for the day.
Mr Murli Karthik, former Indian cricketer of international fame, also participated as one of the golfers at the tournament.
