Quest Alliance to Host 4th Edition of Quest2Learn Summit in Bengaluru

- The two-day event will be held at Bangalore International Centre from July 25, 2019

- Keynote speaker includes Anantha Duraiappah - Director of UNESCO MGIEP 

- Carrying forward the theme of Future of Work & Learning, the summit will see the launch of ed-tech product Quest App and release of several research reports

BENGALURU, July 22, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Quest Alliance, a not-for-profit trust in the realm of education and employability, will be organizing the fourth edition of its annual summit Quest2Learn at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) from July 25, 2019. With a focus on the Future of Work & Learning, the two-day event will bring together leaders from across the sector as they take participants through the transforming landscape of learning and employment.

Helmed by keynote speaker Anantha Duraiappah - Director of UNESCO MGIEP - the summit will offer a platform for over 200 educators, designer thinkers, entrepreneurs, government officials, CSR professionals and technologists to share insights around building 21st century skills for self-learning.

"This year's theme is built around a spectrum of ideas that intersect jobs, gender, social equity and digital inclusion under the larger compass of self-learning," says Aakash Sethi, CEO of Quest Alliance. "We will dig deeper into what the future of work holds and its implications on classroom learning, the methodologies adopted by educators, and the skills learners need to master," he adds.

Over five million young people are expected to enter India's labour force every year over the next decade. Paired with the emergence of technology, such a transition calls for all stakeholders - be it educators or even policy makers - to kindle reform in education and labour market systems. To this end, Q2L will provide a thoughtful discourse on new transformations in the world of work, the role of AI and inclusive equitable education in the digital economy through the lens of gender.

Additionally, participants will also be part of the launch of the Quest App, a web and mobile platform that brings together several self-learning toolkits for young people, as well as get access to multiple research reports, including an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by young women in Industrial Training Institutes, and a study that landscapes effective practices to reduce school dropouts in India.
