RxDx Healthcare wins the TOI Health - Excellence in Phygital Healthcare Services Award 2020

BENGALURU, India, Jan. 5, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- RxDx Healthcare, a NABH accredited multi-speciality chain of 30 pre-hospital primary care centres across Bengaluru, won the Times Health excellence in Phygital Healthcare Services for 2020.

Anticipating the future necessity of telehealth far ahead of its time, the founder of RxDx, Dr Sunita Maheshwari, steered her brainchild towards the 'Phygital' (physical + digital) model of healthcare service delivery. When the pandemic struck India early this year, RxDx was well prepared to migrate its entire OPD consultation to the online platform, which enabled it to help patients outside of Bengaluru as well. For instance, the company now runs 33 nurse-assisted telemedicine nodes across 19 states in India.

Phygital COVID coverage by RxDx

During the pandemic, RxDx has seen a 500% increase in teleconsultations, 700% rise in home healthcare visits, has conducted over 20,000 COVID tests, and helped over 1000 patients through its COVID Care@home program. Despite the hesitation patients felt about physical visits to the clinics during the pandemic's peak stage, RxDx remained open throughout the lockdown, unlike many. The company rapidly pivoted from being a pure brick and mortar chain of primary care clinics to become a phygital healthcare provider of clinic services and online consultations.

RxDx set-up home healthcare services and received an overwhelming response for their COVID Care @ home support to those undergoing home isolation.  "We were well cared for with nurse (name withheld for privacy) meticulously calling us three times a day to ask about our health and wellness and escalating to the Doctor as necessary getting back with recommendations. We took the 11-day recovery package offered. RxDx has got a good facility for renting out blood pressure and oxygen monitoring equipment. Our COVID period ended in 14 days," said a patient who wished to remain anonymous.

"We had taken COVID package. Excellent service, monitoring, and guidance from their team. Also, timely delivery of medicines as part of the package," another patient confirmed.
RxDx has delivered medicines at the patients' doorsteps and to corporate facilities via its e-pharmacy.  Well-trained nurses visited the patients' houses to administer vaccines. Lab technicians have collected samples from apartments and residences. RxDx also covers Paediatric echo services in hospitals via telecardiology.
