S P Jain Global Partners With Columbia Business School to Launch a new Summer School Program

The one-week intensive, college-level program will be taught by faculty of Columbia Business School and S P Jain Global

The Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, developed by S P Jain Global and Columbia Business School's Venture For All^® Program, provides young, talented students with a 'hands-on' learning experience focusing on the creation, development and launching of a new business or social venture. The program targets high-schoolers of all disciplines and will be conducted at S P Jain Global's Singapore campus during the summer vacation this year (May 18-26, 2019).

Over the course of the program, participants will be exposed to the theory and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation, and apply new venture creation process to their own original ideas. Students will witness the various stages a business opportunity goes through - right from ideation to execution, and learn practical, applicable techniques to test and develop their ideas. These techniques are used by successful entrepreneurs all over the world.

Under the guidance of world-class professors from Columbia and S P Jain Global, students will learn how to identify, create and explore entrepreneurship opportunities. Students will also have the chance to learn from and interact with innovators and entrepreneurs, receive guidance and suggestions on their business and creative ideas, and discover Singapore's flourishing entrepreneurial ecosystem.

By the end of the program, participants will have a collection of potential business ideas, and will have been given the chance to test the value of their ideas using proven market research techniques. Upon completion, each student will receive a Certificate of Participation by Columbia Business School and a Certificate of Design Thinking by S P Jain Global. A few deserving participants will also receive a Letter of Recommendation by Columbia Business School.

The program will also provide aspiring undergraduates with an overview of a business school curriculum, and allow them to learn more about admissions and student life in college.
