BARCELONA, Spain, Oct. 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Schneider Electric calculated that 50% of global CO2 emissions could be eliminated by 2040 if digitally enabled energy saving measures were implemented in just half of existing buildings, in tandem with existing global electrification and decarbonization initiatives. Today, Schneider Electric unveiled the latest developments in EcoStruxure, its IoT-enabled, plug and play, open, interoperable, architecture and platform.
- EcoStruxure Power 3.0, the third generation of the company's EcoStruxure Power platform, leverages new digital technologies to deliver enhanced efficiency, reliability and safety for power distribution.
- First-to-market EcoStruxure Micro Data Center C-Series 6U Wall Mount features low-profile design, making it 60 percent less intrusive while allowing large edge servers to be mounted and maximizing floor space.
- New EcoStruxure Plant Performance Advisors Suite helps food and beverage; mining, minerals and metals; oil and gas; water and wastewater; and other industrial enterprises leverage their industrial automation data to increase operational profitability.
- New EcoStruxure Building Connected Room Solution gives building and hotel owners a connectivity hub for increased operational and energy efficiency and a more personalized occupant experience.
Schneider also announced three new partnership programs. The Schneider Electric Technology Partner program is a new specialized program tailored for technology companies looking to scale and build up innovation within their businesses. Leveraging a certification approach and facilitated through Schneider Electric Exchange, an open ecosystem and business platform, partners will have the opportunity to enrich solutions that solve customers' challenges around efficiency and sustainability.
The company also announced it is teaming up with technology industry leaders Avnet and Iceotope to jointly develop innovative, chassis-level immersive liquid cooling solutions for data centers. And it is partnering with ThoughtWire, a leading provider of Digital Twins, to create smarter, more connected digital hospitals that improve operations and patient safety.
Earlier this year, the company unveiled its gas-free medium voltage switchgear of the future, which will use pure air instead of SF6 gas and allow users to step up in fully sustainable solutions. This new generation is equally fully digitized to unlock the value of data. The new technology achieves a level of cost efficiency vital for the widespread adoption of more sustainable equipment.
