Technip India Dedicates Emergency Fund for Their Chennai Employees Badly Hit by Torrential Rains and Flash Floods in Recent Times

Technip Matched Employee Contribution to Donate to Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund      

Global energy player Technip in India allocated an Emergency fund of INR 75 lakhs, exclusively to assist their employees of Chennai operating center in the restoration to normalcy.

Given the scale of disaster, India Management team decided to make this fund available with immediate effect to provide necessary support to the affected people. To this purpose, the company formed a committee in the first week of December to review and conduct necessary due diligence for each application received.

Commenting on this, Mr. Bhaskar Patel, MD, Technip India, said, "It was disheartening to note that many of our colleagues in Chennai were severely affected by the unprecedented rain in hundred years in Tamil Nadu. Though in a small way but the fund was helpful for our 300 plus employees, agency and supporting staffs. I am deeply touched and feel humbled while receiving numerous 'thank you' messages from our colleagues."

Technip also contributed INR 30.82 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to provide support to the rehabilitation effort undertaken by Tamil Nadu Government for the people of the state affected by devastating floods. Employees of 3 operating centers i.e. Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, voluntarily raised a fund of INR 10.41 lakhs and the company decided to match the donation from employees and contributed additional INR 10 lakhs to maximize company's donation to the Fund.

Bhaskar Patel thanked Technip Management and people for their humanitarian gesture and stated, "Standing together to face a difficult period is the hallmark of One Technip."
