TÜV SÜD Showcases its Industrial Additive Manufacturing Capabilities at the NAMIC Summit 2019

In partnership with the NAMIC, the company will also host a joint training session on Certification in Quality and Production Management of Industrial Additive Manufacturing at NUS Innovation 4.0 Building, Singapore.

The course provides a practical overview of the requirements in setting up an effective QM system specific to AM serial production, and the factors that determine the quality of AM-produced parts. With a functional and practiced QM, the fluctuation in the quality of parts can be reduced, thus, reassuring reproducibility. Topics covered in this course include the typical challenges and solutions in implementing 3D printing technologies as an Additive Manufacturing (AM) solution, the application of quality adjustment and monitoring methods, and the understanding of the factors that determine the AM quality-decisive properties. The course deliverables are derived from past experiences of the AM production industry to avoid pitfalls, hence, shortening the time to market. This achieves a high degree of quality for customers and creates the basis for reproducible AM series production.

Gregor Reischle, Additive Manufacturing expert at TÜV SÜD, has developed the coursework which is designed in a comprehensive way to cover terms and definitions, software and hardware, along with an in-depth discussion on application and case studies. Participants will also get a practical overview of the requirements in setting up of an effective QM system specific to AM serial production, and the factors that determine the quality of AM produced parts.

Derived from the past experiences of the AM industry, the programme will prove extremely beneficial for the participating businesses to deliver a high degree of quality to their customers. At the end of the course, they will receive a certificate on the completion of a half day test, the certification will enhance the acceptability of their products as it guarantees compliance with procedures.
