Pinnacle Industries and VDL Groep of Netherlands announced the establishment of VDL Pinnacle Engineering India in Pune (India) today. This joint venture will provide specialized engineering services for the production automation industry worldwide, focusing primarily on Body in White (BIW) weld shops. The company will provide services in process engineering, tool design, robot simulation, layouts and facilities engineering.

Cooperation
VDL Pinnacle Engineering India will supply optimised turnkey solutions as per the requirements of the Indian automotive OEM's and their Tier 1 partners. It will also provide solutions to VDL Steelweld; a Dutch company that has several automotive customers in Europe, US and China.
VDL Pinnacle Engineering India will also be providing engineering services in product design for other VDL Groep companies such as the VDL Bus & Coach companies.
While Pinnacle Industries brings an in-depth knowledge of the Indian market, the VDL Groep will provide the technical support and global expertise to this JV. The JV aims to become a preferred partner to the Indian automotive industry and also within VDL Groep in the near future.
This is the first Joint Venture for the VDL Groep in India and marks their foray into the fast growing Indian automotive market.
