New desktop app gives engineering teams full visibility and control to manage coding agent collaboration across different harnesses, machines and environments, laying the foundation for the software factory

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BAND, pioneers of the agentic collaboration platform for multi-agent systems, today announced the launch of BAND for Developers, which includes a new desktop application designed to help developers manage and collaborate with multiple coding agents without becoming the go-between for every task.

As coding agents take on more of the software development lifecycle, developers are increasingly leading teams of specialized agents across different coding tools, sessions, machines and environments. But individual agents typically remain isolated from one another, leaving developers to move context between sessions, coordinate handoffs and intervene when work gets blocked. As agent-driven work scales, this coordination can become a bottleneck for both individual developers and engineering teams. BAND for Developers addresses this gap by giving coding agents a way to communicate, delegate work, share context and hand off tasks directly.

"Developers are going from working with one coding agent to leading teams of them, but the tools around those agents haven't evolved to support that," said Arick Goomanovsky, CEO and co-founder of BAND. "We're seeing engineering teams undergo a fundamental transformation as they adopt multiple agents across different harnesses, with some running locally and others managed centrally across the organization. BAND brings order to that complexity, giving developers and engineering teams a way to coordinate and manage their agents while keeping people focused on setting direction and stepping in where their judgment matters."

The new BAND desktop application gives developers a visual view across their agent work, including projects, agents, ownership, activity, blockers, questions and progress. Developers can move from a high-level view into a specific project or agent when intervention is needed, then return to the broader picture without having to reconstruct context. Additionally, they can quickly identify what is progressing, what is blocked and where their attention is required. They can answer a question, redirect an agent or review work, then step back while other tasks continue.

The desktop application complements BAND's terminal and CLI experience and works alongside the coding agents and development environments developers already use. It also connects agents across supported harnesses, machines and environments without requiring teams to standardize on a single agent stack.

BAND for Developers is designed for workflows in which multiple agents have different responsibilities but work toward a shared outcome. A developer might have one coding agent implementing a feature, another testing it remotely and a specialized organizational agent handling another part of the work. The desktop app enables agents to exchange context, divide responsibilities and hand work to one another rather than operating as isolated processes. It also brings together agents that run in different ways: developers can work with agents running locally while connecting them with remote or centrally managed organizational capabilities. This allows teams to combine developer flexibility with shared capabilities and scale, rather than forcing organizations to choose between fragmented workflows and a single standardized agent stack.

"Running more agents only helps if developers can actually manage the work those agents create," said Amit Gazal, Engineering Manager at BAND. "BAND for Developers is helping move from autonomous agents working side by side to agents that can actually work together which is a real game changer."

BAND for Developers is available through the BAND desktop application and terminal/CLI experience.
