Abraham Brothers of CentriX Projects to Invest Rs. 500 Cr in Setting up the Latest Joinery Unit in India and Abroad
BENGALURU, July 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
Bangalore and The Sultanate of Oman to have the latest joinery units
CentriX Projects are coming up with two joinery units using 3-Dimensional Robotics technology, the first-of-its-kind mostly used in the automobile industry. Working closely with the 3D printing technology, most of the products will be made as prototype using the 3D technology before embarking on mass production. Use of environment-friendly products produced of waste will be the highlights regarding the raw material. The artisans and technicians are being trained at the moment in a factory in the Sultanate of Oman before they would be employed full time at the Bangalore facility. Research is being carried out to use not only the local designs but also local products which would make all the designs familiar and relevant. The two factories put together cover a total of a million square feet of space with a total capacity to produce goods worth Rs. 250 Cr annually.
The need for this factory setup came about when a client approached CentriX Projects to design their office in a way that could enhance productivity. CentriX Projects appointed a leading research firm to list out a number of disruptions arising because of better design of the offices and bang came along a concept which CentriX Projects now names it as the 'Manthan'.
'Manthan' is derived from the Hindu mythology wherein The Gods and the Devil fought for Amruth and churned the ocean with the mountain. The concept of Manthan in the present context and situation would mean collaboration. Collaboration means basically two or a group of people sitting together to discuss an issue and arrive at a solution to a problem. In Manthan, people come together with different opinions and divergent views collaborating to find a solution. So long before the offices of the Bay Area came up with this open office concept our ancient history has been talking about it.
Recent research carried out by leading agencies have highlighted the need for flexibility in timings as well as flexibility in the workspace areas to increase productivity as being monotonous decreases the creativity and innovative ideas to germinate.
Furniture companies worldwide have been spending huge amount of money on research to identify the correct furniture and seating to enhance this experience and they have come up with their solutions which for the Indian market is very much on the higher side.
Acoustics play a very important role when designing such seating and the materials required for this kind of design have to be highly acoustic as noise levels tend to increase when there aren't any closed spaces.
Which made the Abraham Brothers at CentriX Projects think of the solution to cater to a market untapped and unexplored here in India and went ahead researching on the solutions to offer and came up with a solution to invest into this Joinery Unit which would be one of its kind producing joinery products called as the Manthan process. To top it all both the units are named Manthan.
In Manthan, the artisans are trained to be technicians because CentriX Projects believes to produce high quality joinery work. Skilled artisans are required to embrace technology as quality designs can only be achieved by people with an artistic bent of mind.
Prototypes are already being produced and tested for customer feedback and the products should be out in the Indian market end of the year 2017.
