All Schools Can Now Host a Film Festival, Thanks to LXL Ideas

This unique festival will feature a 100 kids' films from over 25 countries 

This Children's Day, LXL Ideas invites all schools to be a part of the world's largest kid's film festival.

The International Kid's Film Festival 2018 ('IKFF') is a unique film festival hosted by schools across the globe between 14th and 23rd November, 2018 that provides an opportunity for children to 'Watch' the best of international children's films, 'Learn' from film-making master classes and 'Make' films to participate in the 'World's Largest Student Film-Making' competition.

IKFF is open to all schools (private and government) who can host the festival using basic audio-visual infrastructure. The idea is to give all children an exposure to good films from across the world.

IKFF debuted in 2017; 500+ schools across 75 cities participated and organised screenings for their students with their families and neighbouring schools. Most school management and participants rated IKFF as one of the best events they have witnessed.

Announcing the festival Syed Sultan Ahmed, MD & Chief Learner @LXL Ideas, said:

"The availability of good content for children between 6-16 years is very low. Good films are featured at international film festivals, but very few kids get to an access to go to film festivals. We at LXL Ideas asked ourselves a question - If kids don't go to film festivals, can we take the festival to the kids? The answer gave birth to the idea of the International Kid's Film Festival (IKFF)."

  • Make Cinema as part of IKFF is the 'World's Largest Student Film-Making' Competition.
  • The winners of Make Cinema will join the student jury for international festivals, their films will feature in festivals across the world and they will get an opportunity to be part of a Bollywood production apart from cash awards.
