Analog Devices Partners With IESA and TiE for IoTNEXT: Global Summit for Innovating Digital Economy With IoT Enabled Solutions and Services
BANGALORE, December 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Analog Devices, Inc. today announced its association with Indian Electronics Semiconductor Association (IESA) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) in sponsoring, organizing and exhibiting at the marquee event 'IoTNEXT: Global Summit on Innovating Digital Economy with IoT Enabled Solutions and Services' to be held in Bangalore on December 9-10, 2015.
The Government of India has identified the Internet of Things (IoT) as a major force for driving the economic growth and development of the nation. In recent years, India has aggressively launched initiatives such as "Digital India," "Smart Cities" and "Make in India" to transform the country into a global technology hub. India is well known for its strong software, IT, services and data analytics workforce, and in recent years has experienced an unprecedented rise in start-up companies. A significant step toward achieving the objective of fostering IoT globally, the IoTNEXT platform will address the convergence of multi-disciplinary facets of the technology ecosystem with IoT hardware, IT, Big Data, cloud and connectivity to enable more agile, efficient and cost-effective solutions and services with industry collaborations and partnerships. Sessions at the event include 'Industry 4.0 and Make in India,' 'Smart Cities,' 'Smart Agriculture and Water,' 'Driving Innovation' and 'Healthcare Product Showcase.'
"IoT is emerging as a major economic trigger," said Somshubhro (Som) Pal Choudhury, managing director, Analog Devices India. "India was a decade late in adopting PCs, and we caught up to the smartphone revolution within a couple of years of its emergence, but only as consumers. Our technology ecosystem, however, is now mature. It is cross-functional and key steps have been taken for infrastructure and manufacturing growth that will enable us to leverage the IoT wave not just in India but globally. Analog Devices is proud to sponsor IoTNEXT, which is a timely and essential event designed to bring the entire IoT technology ecosystem together."
IoT demos Analog Devices plans to showcase at its IoTNEXT booth include:
