Arbro Pharmaceuticals (Analytical Division) has introduced the facility for the analysis of amino acids. The Arbro Lab has recently installed a new instrument which will fulfil the need for accurate identification and quantification of amino acids for both the food industry as well as pharmaceuticals. Being highly sensitive and reproducible with a post column derivatization system with column oven temperature gradient program, the instrument will facilitate the detection of amino acids within a short turnaround time. The system is designed to accurately and reliably deliver nutritional analysis of foods and animal feeds for food manufacturers, biological researchers and developers of pharmaceutical formulations and food supplements.

Importance of Amino Acid Analysis
Amino acids play a key role in nutritional value of foods and animal feeds, as ingredients and additives in the food, food supplements, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. Hence amino acid analysis is important to determine the concentration and identification of proteins so they are found or used in the right proportion.
Apart from amino acid analysis, the new instrument can also be used for testing & analysis of carbamate pesticides, glyphosate herbicide, multi-residue mycotoxin in feeds, aminoglycoside antibiotics, biogenic amines, polyether antibiotics, bromate, formaldehyde and chromium VI.
