ARLANXEO Appoints New Country Managing Director for Singapore
Joosang Kim to take over as Managing Director from Georges Barbey
SINGAPORE, Feb. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ARLANXEO, a world-leading synthetic rubber company, announced the appointment of Joosang Kim as Managing Director of ARLANXEO Singapore Pte. Ltd, effective from February 1st, 2018. He will replace Georges Barbey, who will leave the company to seek new career opportunities.

Joosang Kim was born in South Korea. Prior to joining LANXESS and ARLANXEO, he accumulated over 15 years of experience in the chemical industry. Since joining LANXESS in 2007, Joosang Kim has served in various leadership positions within LANXESS' synthetic rubber business in several Asian markets, including Japan, Korea, and Greater China. With the establishment of ARLANXEO in 2016, he headed the Tire and Specialty Rubber Business Unit for APAC based in Singapore, where he will continue after February.
Established in April 2016, ARLANXEO is a 50-50 joint venture of LANXESS and Saudi Aramco. The company is headquartered in Maastricht, Netherlands, and its core business is the development, manufacturing, and marketing of high-performance rubber.
