Bharati Bhawan celebrated its platinum jubilee in Patna on September 15. The function was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi. The welcome address was given by Mr. Tarit Bose, after which the authors and the principals of the different school shared their views.
Speaking on the occasion of Bharati Bhawan's platinum jubilee, deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi praised the organization for its illustrious journey. Modi said, "Bihar can never forget the contribution of Bharati Bhawan in the field of education. It is not an easy task to scale newer heights but Bharati Bhawan has made it possible. However, as the organization is setting new milestones for itself everyday, it is yet to attain its peak."
Remembering his 50 year-old association with Bharati Bhawan, Sushil Kumar Modi said, "When I was a student in Ram Mohan Roy Seminary School, I used to visit Bharati Bhawan shops and read books. The popularity and credibility of Bharati Bhawan's books are still intact even after 75 years. There are few brands in Bihar and Bharati Bhawan is one amongst them."
Modi also praised the organization for its honesty and integrity in its long journey along with its capability to change itself according to the changing times.
Many eminent authors from across the country participated in the event including Dr. Damodar Thakur, Dr. H C Verma and Sagarika Mukherji.
Mr. Tarit Bose, Retired Partner of Bharati Bhawan, said, "We will continue to uphold the values of quality and integrity in business laid down by our founder Sri Ram Mohan Bose."
He further said that the contributors to the organization's success have come from authors, teachers, paper, merchants, printers, binders, book sellers among others. The hard work put in by the employees has also played an important part in upholding the ideals of publishing quality books.

Established by Sri Ram Mohan Bose in 1943 at Patna, Bharati Bhawan has travelled a long journey, and today the books published by it are known for their quality.
The organization wants to strengthen its position in markets that are relatively new for it. Establishing the brand in remote areas is also part of the plan for the organization.
The organization has published books in languages other than Hindi, English and Bengali including Urdu, Maithili, Nepali and Assamese. In the future when an opportunity presents itself, the organization will certainly consider publishing books in other languages too.
