PATNA, India, March 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Former top central bureaucrat and BJP's leader from West Champaran, Shri RS Pandey has been inducted into the BJP National Executive as a 'special invitee' from Bihar. The latest inclusion to the BJP's highest political affairs committee, the National Executive, was announced yesterday by Party President Amit Shah in New Delhi.

The inclusion of Shri RS Pandey comes keeping in mind the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections towards the end of this year, where the BJP is looking to score a majority by roping in new and credible faces with professional experience and expertise.
While mainstream parties in Bihar such as the JDU and the RJD focus on their strengths with 'maha-dalit', backward, OBC and Yadav vote-banks, the BJP seems to be adopting a strategically holistic approach by not only appointing a new Brahmin face but also one with extensive experience in governance and bureaucracy.
About Shri RS Pandey
Shri RS Pandey founded the 'Valmiki Vikas Manch', an apolitical pressure group established to advocate policy changes in Bihar Government. He has vast experience as Secretary for Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Government of India and as negotiator for peace talks with Naxals in the north-east. After a highly successful career in government, he joined politics in 2013 in order to work at the grassroots level and usher in positive change in his native region of West Champaran, Bihar.
Shri RS Pandey is also the winner of the United Nations Public Service award, as well as the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration for his pioneering work on communitisation - a new way of governance that he conceptualised and implemented in Nagaland.
Other names from Bihar include Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Shri C P Thakur, Shri Shatrughan Sinha, Sushil Modi, Ashwini Chaubey and Sanjay Paswan.
