BRC Global Standards has signed up to the UK India Business Council Launchpad scheme and through them have appointed Benz Thomas to drive the expansion of the Indian market. Based in Delhi / NCR region Benz will build on this growing market for BRC Global Standards working with local retailers, manufacturers and other stakeholders. Previously Benz was Manager of Food Services at certification body SGS, and was responsible for the targeted growth and business development for the food testing, inspection, certification and audits business. He has extensive sales and marketing experience in the Food Safety industry at SGS, and prior experience in marketing at Mahindra Satyam, and at the Steel Authority of India Ltd. Over that period, he has worked on account management, marketing and campaigns, and business development for Food Safety in India, a key growing market for BRC Global Standards.
