Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's chairman for South Asia, K.B. Kachru Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award
SINGAPORE, March 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is pleased to announce that its chairman for South Asia, K.B. Kachru, has received the Hall of Fame - Lifetime Contribution in Hospitality Award from the from the International Council of Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA). The award recognizes Kachru's outstanding contribution to the public and private sector in the hospitality business. It was presented at a ceremony held at the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB) Convention, the world's leading travel trade show.

Kachru, who was appointed as chairman, South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group on July 1, 2013 after serving eight years as executive vice president. He was credited for playing a leading role in Carlson Rezidor's business in India over the past 15 years and establishing it as India's largest international hotel company. Prior to joining Carlson Rezidor, Kachru oversaw the hotel business of India Tourism Development Corporation and assumed several other roles including heading Ashok Group of Hotels and the Duty Free outlets in all international airports in India.
